What you’ll be doing in this role

The Materials Management team is responsible for receipt of medical and other supplies into the Sydney Adventist Hospital Store.

Reporting to the Store Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identification of hospital inventory items
  • Carrying out deliveries in a timely manner, and picking and packing of orders.
  • Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of continuous quality improvement,
  • Actively supporting a culture of comradery and teamwork.

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll have 3-5 years’ warehouse/stores experience, ideally working in a hospital supply chain
  • You’ll be a people person with strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service
  • You’ll be systematic, with the ability to prioritise, and have a hands-on approach to getting the job done
  • You’re capable, able to work under pressure and have demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • You’ll have previous experience in using a stock management system, similar to JDE and/or SAP, as well as experience in using ERP and MS Office software.
  • Experience in the use of JDE Oracle software and a Certificate IV Warehousing Operations would be welcome
  • You’ll be adaptable, able t work as part of a team with demonstrated team-focused attitude
  • You’ll have a forklift license
  • You’ll have the ability to read and write in English, and have aptitude for good basic maths
