What you will be doing in this role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Scrub/Scout Nurse to join our supportive team in the
Neuro Spine and Interventional Neuro Radiology specialty (INR). This full-time role offers a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, along with the opportunity to be part of the on-call roster. Ideally, you’ll bring at least 3 years of experience in an INR environment, with neuro spine experience being a valuable asset. In this role, you’ll provide safe, evidence-based care that aligns with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) and Australian College of Perioperative (ACORN) standards. You’ll be applying your critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to make informed decisions, respond to emergencies, and ensure that every patient receives the best possible care. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, keeping patient records accurate and up-to-date, while prioritising patient safety and maintaining a smooth, efficient workflow.

Who we’re looking for
- At least 3 years' experience in the Neuro/Spine and Interventional Neuro (INR) specialty, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to inform clinical decision-making.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and professionally within a multidisciplinary team, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven commitment to professional development, demonstrated by active participation in ongoing education and training, and a willingness to apply and share your knowledge with colleagues.
- Basic computer skills and a proven ability to use health information systems to manage patient records and contribute to a streamlined workflow.
- Recent perioperative nursing experience, with a solid understanding of surgical procedures, patient care in the perioperative setting, and the ability to act quickly in emergency situations.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with a strong commitment to practising in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) and Australian College of Perioperative (ACORN) standards.
- Must hold Australian working rights to be eligible for this role, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
