What you’ll be doing in this role
 
An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the San Renal Unit on a casual basis. The SAH renal unit has 15 chairs to provide haemodialysis service to both acute and chronical renal failure patients. We also provide Apheresis treatment to various patients.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Haemodialysis and Apheresis nursing care management in a hospital setting.
  • Delivering exceptional evidence-based nursing care and monitoring to patients.
  • Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement and
  • Actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork along to a culture of continuous quality improvement

 

Who we are looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of haemodialysis nursing experience
  • 12 month post graduate experience in clinical setting
  • If an Enrolled Nurse, you would have completed HLTEN519 “Administer and monitor intravenous medication in the Nursing Environment”
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of rotating rosters (including morning, evenings, as well as on-call)
  • You will bring excellent evidence-based clinical skills
  • You’ll be systematic, able to prioritise tasks but also have initiative and critical problem-solving capability
  • You’ll be adaptable, willing to learn, and work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience considerately & professionally communicating with patients, their families, visitors and colleagues
  • You will hold a current AHPRA registration

What to expect
