What you will be doing in this role
As an Enrolled Nurse you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and work as part of a supportive team to provide safe, compassionate and quality person-centred care. Our Harrison Ward is a 30 bed General Medical/Surgical ward which specialises in long term wound care, renal and general medical care.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our patients and their families receive holistic care during their hospital journey. You will be supported by a strong operating team as you settle into your new role with on the floor training and a team mentor. Your NUM is approachable, proactive and values open two-way communication.
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll have current AHPRA registration as an EN and as a minimum have completed a New Grad program within an acute care setting.
- You’ll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
- You’ll have the flexibility to work a rotating roster of 8-hour shifts
- You’ll have full Australian working rights
