We are recruiting to an expanded team with a role that is full-time 38hrs per week, but could be part-time as a job share arrangement.

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive registered nurse to join our dynamic Clinical Governance team as a Patient Safety and Quality Officer. Your role will include:

  • Working closely with clinical teams on quality improvement activities, researching and implementing best practice models of care and premier patient experience.
  • Analysing patient experience, clinical risk & clinical outcome data and sharing insights with clinicians to inspire change
  • Eliciting and responding to consumer feedback (including complaints, suggestions and compliments)
  • Reviewing and investigating incidents and near-misses
  • Undertaking clinical reviews
  • Undertaking clinical and compliance audits


  • Registered Nurse  
  • Knowledge and experience in health service provision in a clinical setting
  • Proven consumer service skills with a professional, person-centered manner and proven capacity to consider activities, decisions and outcomes from the perspective of the consumer or end-user
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, volunteers, staff and other  key stakeholders


  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical risk management and the ability to apply strong analytical skills to the identification of clinical incident themes and trends, and appropriately escalate patient safety risks
  • Experience in clinical incident management with preparation of reports within expected timeframes
  • Knowledge and experience in Riskman
  • Experience in development and presentation of training/information session in customer service models
