What you will be doing in this role
We’re looking for caring, motivated Registered Nurses to join our welcoming team in the Endoscopy and Procedure Centre at Sydney Adventist Hospital on a permanent part-time or full-time basis, Monday- Friday.
Our Centre features modern operating theatres and a twelve‑bed PACU, supporting a wide range of day‑only procedures for both inpatients and emergency department patients.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive care across the Day Surgery Unit, including pre-operative assessment, anaesthetics, post-operative recovery monitoring, and discharge. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care throughout their perioperative journey. You will also work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, surgeons, and anaesthetists, and provide clear education to patients and families to ensure a smooth discharge process.
Who we’re looking for
- Current AHPRA rego with a minimum of 2- 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse within an hospital setting
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have strong time management skills
- Demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence
- Exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week
