What you’ll be doing in this role
Fox Valley Medical and Dental Centre is the hospital’s general practice with 7 GPs and several specialists. The role of Registered Nurse at FVMC is to provide high-quality clinical and administrative services to the patients, GPs and staff in a caring and supportive manner.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional evidence-based nursing care and monitoring to patients with responsibility for improving patient health outcomes through immunization, acute and chronic disease management, patient education, health screening and patient recalls and follow-ups
- Assisting doctors with their day-to-day duties by providing clinical nursing services and support in the general practice context through triage, assessments, therapeutic care and treatment, and accountability for clinical data management
- Coordination of patient services through planning and management of care, optimizing communication between GPs, patients, and services, including patient advocacy and networking with other services
- Ensuring that all activities are in accordance with FVMC policies and procedures, moral, ethical and legal standards
- Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement and
- Actively supporting a culture of comradery and teamwork
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll bring excellent clinical skills
- Your friendly and positive way of working with people will be obvious in how you considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
- You’ll have a maximum 3 years’ post graduate RN experience, ideally in a similar role
- You’ll be collaborative, adaptable, and be able to work independently and as part of a team
- You’ll be committed to contemporary nursing practice and patient-centred care
- You’ll be empathetic, systematic, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity
- You’ll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration
- You’ll have demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office, and have experience using Medical Director and PracSoft
- Preferably, you will have also completed the NSW Health DETECT, Between the Flags Program and Bloodsafe Clinical Transfusion Practice programs.
