What you’ll be doing in this role
We have a full time, permanent Storeperson here at Sydney’s Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga, NSW. This role will be reporting to the Stores Supervisor, who likes to empower and motivate their staff along with being an effective, process driven communicator.   

The key responsibilities in this role will include: 

  • Stock counts and replenishment of assigned hospital wards
  • Liaising with clinical manager regarding stock levels and ordering materials for the wards
  • Unloading & loading of trucks and shelves (lifting, pulling, pushing etc)
  • Warehouse duties associated with picking, packing and receiving stock for dispatch within the Hospital site
  • Transacting with the hospital ERP system (JDE)
  • Fully comply with all hospital WHS safety requirements


Who we’re looking for

  • You must have a positive, 'can do' attitude and approach, being able to demonstrate your exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders, including nurse managers and other clinical staff, to be able to effectively collaborate to fulfil their requirements  
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an authentic and respectful communication style
  • The ability to work independently unsupervised, and part of a team
  • You must have a valid, NSW drivers' licence and either already have a forklift licence, or if successful, willing to obtain in the first 2 months of employment
  • Have general knowledge of cleaning and infection control
  • Have sound mathematical ability and computer skills to input data
  • Previous experience working in stores environment is desirable
