About the role:

As the Clinical Nurse Educator for the Theatre department, you will report into the Nursing Unit Manager and provide educations and support to the nursing and multidisciplinary teams. You will develop and implement education programs and documents in consultation with the Education Manager and NUM which are in line with the corporate strategy.

Success within this role:

  • Successful completion, implementation and evaluation of education plans meeting the needs to the department and NSQHS Standards requirements.
  • Collaborates with teams to review and follow up with team members and ensure departments compliance with AHCL mandatory training requirements and ward specific training requirements
  • Contributes to a culture of success on the ward by providing education, mentorship to New Graduate nurses and team members and promoting teamwork

What we are looking for:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Minimum 4 years of recent clinical nursing experience with 2 years within a Theatre department
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse groups
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate programs, nursing skill assessments and learning packages
  • Sound knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and teamwork skills
  • Relevant post graduate qualification and/or Cert IV in Training and Assessment
