What you will be doing in this role 

This is a meaningful, patient-facing role where your compassion, customer service skills, and attention to detail will truly make a difference. You’ll provide vital administrative support by collating patient documentation and liaising closely with clinicians during the pre-admission process at our surgical centre. Following surgery, you’ll be a friendly and reassuring point of contact for patients and their families, offering support through recovery and discharge. 

This is a casual position providing cover for sick and annual leave, with shifts available across day (9.00am–5.30pm) and evening (12.00pm–8.30pm). Flexibility to pick up shifts as needed will be important, and your support will be greatly valued by both the team and the patients we care for. 

 

Who we’re looking for 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.  

Experience in a similar healthcare setting is highly regarded, as it means you’ll be familiar with medical terminology and fast-paced clinical environments. Above all, you’ll bring a warm, empathetic approach and a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience. 

You’ll also have: 

  • Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with well-developed analytical abilities. 
  • A positive, can-do attitude that helps create a welcoming and reassuring experience for every patient.
