What you’ll be doing in this role

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Health Fund Relationship Manager to ensure health fund audits are completed in a timely manner, with accuracy, and with minimal financial impact on AHCL. This specifically involves actively participating in the end-to-end process of responding to health fund audits in line with the contract rules specific to each of the agreements between AHCL and the respective health funds.

Reporting to the Health Fund Relationship Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Health Fund Auditor in the management and monitoring of AHCL audit compliance with health fund contracts
  • Accountable for implementing the audit program to review and monitor AHCL’s compliance with responsibilities under various health fund contracts in relation to billing accuracy, repayments to health funds and penalties for clinical variation
  • Be an advocate for AHCL to minimise revenue recoveries by health funds while complying with contractual obligations
  • Report variances and recommend process improvements to Health Fund Relationship Manager
  • Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement; and
  • Actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork.

Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll have qualifications in Nursing and experience within the healthcare industry
  • Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of the private health insurance industry within Australia
  • Preferably, you’ll have a broad clinical knowledge of all aspects of healthcare, including medical, surgical, critical care, and prostheses
  • Your friendly and positive way of working with people will be obvious in how you considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
  • You’ll be collaborative, adaptable, work well within a team environment, and able to work independently
  • You’ll be empathetic, systematic, detail-oriented, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity.
