What you will be doing in this role
Working as a Part Time Speech Pathologist you will screen, assess and diagnose speech, communication and swallowing disorders and implement patient centred interventions.
You will report to the very supportive and approachable Allied Health Manager and work within a wider team of Allied Health professionals and Nursing teams to deliver the San’s mission of providing holistic and high-quality care to all patients.
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll hold a Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and be eligible for SPA CPSP membership.
- You’ll ideally have 2-3 years experience working within an acute care hospital setting, however new graduates/early career clinicians may be considered.
- You’ll ideally have knowledge of and/or experience in instrumental assessments (VFSS and/or FEES).
- You’ll demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise responsibilities.
- You’ll be a strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- You’ll be available to work in a part time role 3 days a week and participate in a rotational Saturday on-call service.
