Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking Career Medical Officers with recent inpatient hospital experience. Join a caring team with excellent clinical skills that is committed to providing an environment where our patients can recover from their acute admission. Part-time opportunities are available.

The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:


  • AHPRA Registration or eligible for same
  • MBBS or equivalent with at least 3 years post-graduate experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work in the hospital inpatient environment, including recent experience in general medical and surgical fields
  • Existing practical experience required in resuscitation with aptitude to learn skills in critical care of hospital inpatients
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary framework
  • Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex hospital-based clinical environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current Blood Safe and DETECT competencies

International Medical Graduates are eligible to apply if:

  • experience befits at least level 2 supervision in accordance with the Medical Board
  • AMC part 1 complete
  • IELTs complete with a minimum score of 7


  • AHPRA provisional registration
  • AMC part 2 highly desirable
