What you will be doing in this role

As part of our high-performing 30-bed Intensive Care Unit, you'll care for some of the most complex and critically ill patients in NSW, working alongside leading specialist nurses, surgeons, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. Our ICU provides advanced critical care across a diverse range of specialties, offering exposure to a highly varied and challenging patient cohort, including: 

  • Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Complex Medical Conditions
  • Major Surgical Cases
  • Emergency and Trauma Patients

As a key member of the ICU team, you'll work in an environment that combines cutting-edge technology with genuinely patient-centred care. Supporting a busy Emergency Department, 20 Operating Theatres, and multiple specialty services, no two shifts are the same. You'll be challenged, inspired, and supported as you care for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. Most importantly, you'll be surrounded by experienced an experienced Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) ,Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Educators, and supportive leadership committed to helping you excel.

Who we're looking for

We are seeking passionate and motivated critical care nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration nursing experience in a critical care environment
  • Postgraduate qualification (or current enrolment) in Intensive Care or Critical Care Nursing (Desirable)
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work a rotating roster across AM, PM, and night shifts to meet the operational requirement of the role
  • Full Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available)
