What you will be doing in this role

You will work as a casual Registered Nurse within the Day Procedure Centre (DPC) and will report to the Nursing Unit Manager. The main focus of the DPC is Endoscopy but dermatology and pain management are also treated.

The Day Procedure Centre operates Monday – Friday and consist of four operating theatres, a twelve-bed stage 1 recovery area and a discharge lounge. As a nurse working in this centre, you can advance your skills and competence in admission and discharge, instrument/circulating, anaesthetics, or recovery.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’ll have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a min of 12 months experience.
  • You’ll have experience working within an acute care environment (highly desirable)
  • You’ll have demonstrated an elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
  • You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
  • You’ll have the flexibility to work a rotating roster – Monday - Friday.
  • You’ll have full Australian working rights
