What you will be doing in this role

You will be working in the role of Clinical Nurse Educator within our 29-bed neurology & neurosurgery Radley Ward which offers a dynamic mix of services that include acute stroke care, pre and post brain and spinal surgeries, neuro oncology surgeries, and general adult neurology cases such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, migraines, seizures and others.

Reporting into the Nursing Unit Manager, you will provide education and support to the nursing and multidisciplinary teams as well as develop and implement education programs and documents in consultation with the Education Manager in line with the corporate strategy.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’ll have current AHPRA registration as an RN with at least 6 years post registration experience within a neurology and/or neurosurgery setting.
  • You’ll have or are currently working towards a Post Graduate Certificate (preferred)
  • You’ll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
  • You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
  • You’ll have the flexibility to work PPT, 16 hours per week and be able to meet the requirements of the role.
  • You’ll have full Australian working rights
