What you will be doing in this role

As a Registered Nurse working on our Butler Ward (Surgical) you will provide holistic care to patients within a welcoming and supportive team. You will be caring for patients that have had a range of surgical procedures including plastics, surgical oncology, urology and vascular. This is a fast-paced ward where patients do not stay for a long period of time. No two days are the same and you have the opportunity to work with a range of cases to help expand your skill set.

You will report directly to the Butler NUM who is a supportive and hands on manger that provides regular check ins and wants to see you succeed in the role. You will also be supported with a detailed onboarding and buddy program and have on going support from the CNE and CNS.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’ll have current AHPRA registration as an RN with at least 2 years post registration experience.
  • You’ll have a background working in a surgical ward ideally with experience in plastic, surgical oncology, urology and/or vascular.
  • You’ll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
  • You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
  • You’ll have the ability to work full time – rotating roster (preferred) but we are also open to consider someone that is looking for part time work.
  • You’ll have full Australian working rights
