What you will be doing in this role
Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking Assistants in Nursing where you will have the opportunity to be part of a team that provides excellent care to our patients. Our culture of health is focused on caring for the whole person in every interaction and everything we do.
Reporting to the ward Nursing Unit Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional evidence-based theatre nursing to patients and medical officers
- Actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork
- Actively contributing to a culture of continuous quality improvement
Who we are looking for
- You’ll have excellent clinical skills and knowledge
- Flexibility to work across a variety of rotating rosters (including morning, evenings, as well as on-call)
- You'll demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal skills
- Great interpersonal skills by considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
- You’ll be systematic, able to prioritise tasks but also have initiative and critical problem-solving capability
- You’ll be adaptable, willing to learn, and work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment
- You will hold a current AHPRA registration
- Have recent experience and/or knowledge or skills in the following areas(desirable):
- Cardiovascular
- Neuroscience
- Perioperative / Theatre – Scrub / Scout
- Maternity
- General Nursing

What to expect
