What you’ll be doing in this role
The Day Procedure Centre is a standalone unit with 4 theatres, admission, Stage 1 PACU, discharge area and scope cleaning facility. The main focus is endoscopy services.
As an RN and part of the Perioperative team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional evidence-based nursing care and monitoring to patients
- Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement and
- Actively supporting a culture of comradery and teamwork
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll bring excellent clinical skills
- You’ll have Perioperative or Day Surgery Nursing experience
- You’ll have flexibility to work a rotating roster including morning, evenings, as well as On Call
- Your friendly and positive way of working with people will be obvious in how you considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
- You’ll be collaborative, adaptable, and be able to work independently and as part of a team
- You’ll be very committed to contemporary nursing practice and patient-centred care
- You’ll be empathetic, systematic, and detail-oriented, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity
- Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in endoscopy services or anaesthetics
- You’ll hold current AHPRA registration
- Preferably, you will have also completed the NSW Health DETECT, Between the Flags Program and Bloodsafe Clinical Transfusion Practice programs.
