What you’ll be doing in this role

Our Harrison Ward is a 30-bed ward specializing in Vascular Surgery, Chronic Pain Management, and General Medicine. Our group supports a team-based approach in providing a high level of care to our patients, and takes pride in working alongside the hospital’s other multidisciplinary teams in ensuring that our patients and their families receive the best care during their hospital journey.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering exceptional evidence-based nursing care and monitoring to patients
  • Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement and
  • Actively supporting a culture of comradery and teamwork

 Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll bring excellent clinical skills, ideally with experience in vascular surgery
  • Your friendly and positive way of working with people will be obvious in how you considerately and professionally communicate with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
  • You’ll be collaborative, adaptable, available to work all shifts as well as able to work independently and as part of a team
  • You’ll have initiative and demonstrated critical problem-solving capability
  • You are able to think critically, and assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
  • You’ll be willing to take relevant ongoing professional development
  • You’ll have excellent time management and organisational skills
  • You’ll be committed to contemporary nursing practice and patient-centred care
  • You’ll be empathetic, systematic, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity
  • You’ll hold a nursing degree with current AHPRA registration, and
  • Preferably, you will have also completed the NSW Health DETECT, Between the Flags Program and Bloodsafe Clinical Transfusion Practice programs.
