An opening has arisen for an experienced administrative officer in a very important role with the Medical Services Department. You will be the first point of contact for doctors and health practitioners who wish to gain accreditation with Adventist Healthcare. In a similar role to a Human Resources Officer, you will obtain information from applicants, undertake reference checking and other regulatory checks such as AHPRA registration and organise interviews where required. This role maintains a database for accredited practitioners and proactively works to improve processes and systems of credentialing and defining the scope of practice for practitioners.

The role will be job-shared between two team members, total hours being 42 hours per week. Weekly hours delineation between job share candidates to be determined. Flexible work arrangements can be considered, as long as core hours are covered.

The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:


  • Proven competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Attention to detail - high level of accuracy and proof reading of work prior to distribution
  • Proven ability working in a team
  • Previous experience in managing a stream of work with limited supervision
  • Proven commitment to customer service


  • Secretarial and/or Office Administration Qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous health industry experience
