What you’ll be doing in this role: 

Working as a casual Registered Nurse within the Cardiac Catheter Lab you will provide a caring, compassionate and competent service to patients and Cardiologists/Vascular Surgeons. Some keys duties include:

  • Continually upgrade knowledge of clinical practice relative to the Cardiac Catheter Lab
  • Ensure close observation of patients undergoing procedures, pre and post procedures
  • Ensure patient records are maintained according to acceptable medical, hospital and legal standards
  • Maintain optimum safety standards for patients and staff at all times

What we are looking for:

  • Experience within a Catheter Lab, Operating Theatre, ICU and/or Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Current AHPRA registration with full Australian working rights
  • Post-graduate studies withing Cardiology and Acute Care
  • Cardiothoracic or Coronary Care Certificate or experience in Cardiac Nursing
  • A CEPIA certificate is highly desirable
  • Experience in preparing patients for medical procedures, setting up medical devices and connecting patients to diagnostic and monitoring equipment
  • Sound comprehension of computer and signal processing systems
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team with strong communication skills
