What you’ll be doing in this role
In this role you will be responsible for undertaking high quality, accurate and timely clinical coding of health care records in accordance with the Australian Coding standards (ICD-10-AM 12th Edition).

You will be a valued member of this highly experienced team, who work collaboratively with clinicians and other health professionals, seeking further clarification of clinical information to ensure the highest standard in clinical coding.

We offer flexible working options, including the ability to work some days from home each week and we can accommodate Full Time, Part Time or Casual employment.

You will use our own customised Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system that is user friendly and easy to navigate.


Who we’re looking for

  • You’ll have completed a recognised clinical coding qualification through HIMAA, OTEN or Health Information Management Degree
  • You’ll have proven coding experience with a minimum of 3 years’ coding in a tertiary level hospital
  • You’ll have demonstrated experience using 3M Codefinder
  • You’ll have education and experience in Australian Coding Standards (ICD 10 AM - 12th edition)
  • You’ll have the proven ability to prioritise workload to achieve key performance indicators and meet deadlines
  • You’ll have excellent communication skills (both written & oral), with proven experience interacting with clinicians and other healthcare professional
  • You’ll have an exceptional eye for detail and organisational skills
