What you will be doing in this role

We’re currently looking to fill two part-time Ward Clerk positions across our Children’s Ward and Radley Ward (Neurosurgery). These vital roles offer an opportunity to support our clinical teams while helping to ensure patients and their families receive the best possible experience.

As a Ward Clerk, you'll be the welcoming face of the ward—greeting patients and visitors, answering phone calls, directing enquiries, and handling a range of administrative tasks such as supply ordering and appointment bookings. Your ability to stay organised, think on your feet, and provide excellent customer service will be key to your success in this role.

Who we’re looking for

Our wards are all slightly different and require specific skills to succeed, however what’s crucial is your willingness to ensure that the team is supported and that patients and their families have the best possible experience. If you're approachable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a busy healthcare environment, we’d love to hear from you.

  • You’ll have previous administration experience working at a front desk or reception role, ideally in a healthcare environment.
  • You’ll have exceptional planning and organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
  • You’ll have a dependable, calm demeanour.
  • You’ll love helping people, and your empathetic and warm approach will ensure patients have the best experience.
  • You’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of people.
  • You’ll have the ability to work productively within a team and autonomously when required.
