What you will be doing in this role
Reporting to the Head of Category - Clinical, this is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a key role in delivering procurement and category management outcomes across a diverse clinical portfolio. Working closely with clinicians, suppliers and operational stakeholders, you will translate category strategies into effective day-to-day procurement, inventory and supplier management activities.
You will manage purchasing activities, support sourcing and tender processes, monitor inventory performance, and build strong supplier partnerships to ensure the reliable and cost-effective supply of clinical products and services. Using data and insights to inform decisions, you will identify opportunities to improve performance, strengthen supply continuity and deliver value across the organisation.
You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with procurement policies and processes, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective procurement and supply chain management.
Who we’re looking for
You are a procurement or supply chain professional with experience in purchasing, inventory management and supplier performance, within healthcare or another complex, highly regulated environment. You enjoy building strong stakeholder relationships, solving problems and helping ensure the reliable supply of critical clinical products.
Organised and commercially minded, you can manage competing priorities, use data to support decisions and work collaboratively with clinicians, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or category management, ideally in a healthcare environment
- Exposure to tenders, RFx processes and supplier relationship management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing procurement data, inventory and reporting
- Knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
