What you will be doing in this role
Reporting to the Director, Procurement & Supply Chain, this is a full-time, permanent position where you will lead the strategic procurement and category management agenda across Sydney Adventist Hospital's Corporate portfolio. Partnering closely with leaders across Facilities, ICT, Finance, Food Services, People & Culture and other corporate functions, you will develop and execute category strategies that deliver sustainable value, service continuity and operational excellence.
You will lead complex sourcing initiatives, commercial negotiations and supplier partnerships across key corporate categories including facilities and maintenance, energy and utilities, ICT and telecommunications, food services, linen and laundry, non-clinical capital equipment and outsourced services. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and influence, you will identify opportunities to improve value, reduce risk, optimise supplier performance and support the organisation's long-term strategic objectives.
You will also play a key leadership role in shaping the future of the Procurement & Supply Chain function. As well as leading your direct report, you will drive procurement transformation, strengthen governance and compliance frameworks, build wider team capability and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Who we’re looking for
You are a strategic procurement professional with strong experience delivering value through sourcing, category management and supplier partnerships. Comfortable working across diverse corporate categories, you know how to balance commercial outcomes, service quality and risk in a complex environment.
You thrive on building relationships, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement. With experience leading major tenders, commercial negotiations and procurement initiatives, you're equally comfortable shaping strategy and delivering results.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Significant experience in procurement, category management or supply chain leadership
- Experience across complex corporate or service-based procurement categories
- Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills
- Proven success delivering sourcing, cost-saving and value improvement initiatives
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Experience leading teams and driving organisational change
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce or a related discipline preferred.
