What you will be doing in this role
As an Assistant in Nursing within our Perioperative team, you will play an important part in ensuring patients feel safe, prepared, and supported prior to surgery.
Working closely with Registered Nurses and the broader perioperative team, you will be responsible for checking patients in before surgery, assisting with pre-operative preparation, confirming documentation, and supporting patient flow to ensure theatre lists run efficiently and safely. You will provide reassurance and compassionate care to patients who may be feeling anxious prior to their procedure. Maintaining patient dignity, privacy, and safety will always be central to your work.

We are seeking dedicated and reliable AIN Theatre team, working within pre-operative admissions. This role is ideal for a first- or second-year Bachelor of Nursing student seeking consistent clinical exposure, or for an experienced AIN who is passionate about remaining in the AIN role and building a long-term career within perioperative services.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent
- Enjoy working in a structured clinical environment and understand the importance of accuracy and attention to detail in surgical settings.
- Previous acute hospital experience (desirable)
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, dependable and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care
- Full Australian working rights
- Available to work rotating roster across AM & PM shifts to meet the service needs
