What you will be doing in this role
In this exciting newly created role we are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Clerical Administrator to join our busy Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL). This is a rewarding opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality cardiac care by providing administrative and operational support to our multidisciplinary team.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will coordinate a broad range of functions including departmental administration, procedural billing, inventory management, clinical data support and patient scheduling. You will also contribute to quality improvement, accreditation activities and cardiac registry reporting, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the service.
Success in this role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
While our preference is for the successful applicant to work full-time, we welcome applications from candidates seeking between 32 and 38 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days.
Who we’re looking for
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a highly organised administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You’ll have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while supporting a multidisciplinary clinical team.
You’ll have:
- Demonstrated administrative experience within a healthcare environment.
- Experience using hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
- Experience coordinating patient scheduling, billing and data entry processes.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- High level of computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of confidentiality, privacy legislation and health records management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
