What you will be doing in this role 

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director, Procurement and Supply Chain will lead a high-performing function focused on delivering strong commercial outcomes, enhancing stakeholder experience, and supporting clinical excellence across the organisation. 

The role will oversee procurement, supply chain operations, inventory management, logistics, supplier performance, and in-house biomedical engineering services. A significant focus will be leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including operating model redesign, automation, workforce restructuring, and process optimisation. 

This is a highly collaborative business partnering role requiring exceptional stakeholder engagement capability, strategic influence, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that inform clinical and operational decision-making. 

 

Who we’re looking for 

We are seeking an experienced leader who is commercial, data-driven, and delivery-focused, while also having the ability to guide and nurture teams to lift engagement and capability. 

  • Significant senior leadership experience in healthcare procurement and/or supply chain environments.  
  • Advanced strategic procurement and commercial acumen.  
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations and clinical supply environments.  
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation, operating model redesign, and continuous improvement initiatives.  
  • Experience leading workforce transformation, organisational change, and multidisciplinary teams within complex operational environments.  
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into executive-level insights and influence decision-making.  
  • Demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder environments with strong business partnering capability.  
  • Experience partnering with and delivering outcomes through external consultants and third parties.  
  • Exposure to biomedical engineering, asset-intensive, or technical service environments advantageous.
