What you will be doing in this role
Reporting to both the Director of Information Services and Chief Medical Officer, this pivotal role serves as the bridge between medical staff and digital systems. You’ll drive adoption, optimisation, and safe use of clinical information systems, aligning technology with real-world workflows and supporting key doctor-facing initiatives, including EMR optimisation, mobile platforms, system upgrades, and emerging AI tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training, onboarding, and ongoing user support for doctors.
- Act as the primary liaison between Information Services and medical staff.
- Support digital initiatives including EMR optimisation, mobility and AI-enabled innovations.
- Advise on digital strategy, workflow design, and clinical safety.
- Ongoing clinical systems adoption and optimisation
This role is offered on a part-time 0.5 FTE basis, but we welcome applications from candidates seeking 8–19 hours per week.
Who we’re looking for
- From your experience as a medical practitioner, you’ll have gained a strong understanding of Australian health systems and contemporary clinical workflows, informatics, and digital health adoption.
- You’ll have a high level of digital literacy and experience with clinical information systems including EMR, PACS, RIS and emerging healthcare technology.
- You’ll be qualified in one of the following: Registered Medical Practitioner in Australia (or eligible), or Registered Nurse (Senior / Clinical Nurse Specialist or equivalent), or Tertiary qualification in Health Informatics, Clinical Informatics, or a related clinical discipline
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and systems-thinking skills.
