What you will be doing in this role

Join a dynamic perioperative team where your expertise makes a real impact. In this permanent position, you will provide specialist scrub and scout support across a broad range of complex neuro and spinal procedures, working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional patient care.

From intricate spinal surgeries to advanced neurosurgical procedures, you will be exposed to cutting-edge techniques in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Your precision, clinical judgement, and technical expertise will play a key role in ensuring efficient theatre flow and optimal patient outcomes.

With access to 20 operating theatres, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills within a collaborative and supportive team, led by an experienced Nurse Unit Manager dedicated to staff development and success.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 18 months’ experience as a scrub/scout nurse in neuro and spinal surgery
  • Demonstrated ability to scrub and scout for spinal procedures, including laminectomy and spinal fusion
  • Experience assisting in craniotomy procedures
  • Flexibility to work a mix of morning and evening shifts (no night shifts required)
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call roster as required
  • A strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative in complex situations
