What you will be doing in this role

Reporting to the Director Governance & Risk, this role is responsible for providing essential administrative support to the Governance and Risk Unit. As well as providing EA support in the form of email and diary management, this includes developing reports, documents and maintaining the risk registry to ensure accurate tracking and management of risks.

Additionally, the role involves coordinating, tracking, and reporting on audit activities, ensuring that deadlines and compliance requirements are met. The officer also supports committee activities, contributing to the smooth functioning of governance processes within the organisation.

This is a 0.8 FTE position, flexible on the preferred days and times worked.

 

Who we’re looking for

Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal, but what truly sets you apart is your strong administrative and support skills, attention to detail and your ability to take initiative and work independently.

  • Efficient in managing administrative tasks, organising schedules, maintaining records, and providing overall team support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Skilled in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for creating reports, tracking data, managing communications, and producing presentations.
  • Clear and professional in both verbal and written communication, able to engage with a variety of internal and external parties.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard.
  • Highly accurate, with strong proofreading skills to ensure quality and consistency in all work before distribution.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, working effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Trusted to handle sensitive information with professionalism and in compliance with confidentiality standards.
