What you will be doing in this role
As the Communications and PR Specialist you will be responsible for crafting the external communication for AHCL, working across internal and external communications for the San to create campaigns, content and initiatives – aiming to engage groups within our hospital and broader community to promote our amazing hospital, services & doctors. The San is a leader in healthcare with a diverse offering, which means your job will encompass many different audiences, facets of healthcare and media channels.
You will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with media and internal stakeholders which will allow you to coordinate media opportunities and produce content across multiple channels, including website, intranet, motion and visual presentations. As well as work closely with our Marketing and Events team to develop impactful campaigns.
Who we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a related role and a tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing, listening, and storytelling, along with a proven ability to generate creative ideas.
- A track record of developing and pitching stories to media, securing coverage across print, digital, and broadcast outlets.
- As a versatile team player, you’ll thrive in collaborative environments while also confidently working autonomously.
- Excellent time management abilities, combined with a keen eye for detail, will help you effectively manage competing priorities.
- A results-driven approach with experience across all phases of a campaign including planning, production, monitoring, and reporting.
- Full Australian working rights are required for this position.
