What you will be doing in this role
As an IS Support Specialist, you’ll be part of a collaborative team ensuring the smooth operation of hospital technology systems that support patient care and staff efficiency.
Reporting to the IS Support Lead, you’ll be supported by approachable, values-driven leadership that encourages initiative, learning, and continuous improvement. You’ll resolve technical issues, maintain hardware and software systems, and provide user support and training, especially on platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Your responsibilities include managing user accounts, participating in a 24/7 on-call support roster, contributing to ICT projects and upgrades, and maintaining documentation. You’ll stay current with industry trends, promote secure IT practices, and play a key role in fostering cybersecurity awareness and driving technology improvements across the organisation.
Who we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- You’ll have a minimum 2 years in a complex ICT environment, including support for end-user devices, applications, and systems.
- You’ll have a strong proficiency in Windows desktop deployment, PC hardware, mobile platforms (iOS/Android), and enterprise networking. In particular, Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and Office 365.
- You’ll have strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting and interacting with a diverse user base.
- You’ll have the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams both within and across departments and external parties.
- You’ll have an analytical mindset with a focus on scalable solutions and continuous improvement.
- You’ll have experience assisting with ICT projects and maintaining technical documentation.
