What you will be doing in this role 

As the Administration and Events Officer, you will be integral to supporting the smooth running of daily operations and organising impactful events that foster connection and engagement within our donor community. This role will be pivotal in advancing the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives, donor relations, and stewardship efforts through meticulous event planning, coordination, and effective communication with stakeholders. 

This is a part time role, offering flexibility for the successful candidate on when the hours will be. As a guide, we are needing about 24 hours per week. Please note that certain events may occur during evenings and outside your regular working days, so some adaptability in your schedule will be required to accommodate these occasions. 

In this varied role, your day will include preparing and maintaining documents, coordinating and scheduling appointments, arranging catering services, and managing meeting room bookings. You'll utilise our CRM system (Salesforce) to manage and update client information, track interactions, and support customer relationship management efforts. You'll interact with donors and internal teams, building great relationships and providing timely and accurate information.  

Who we’re looking for 

  • You’ll have previous experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within a not-for-profit or fundraising setting and understand donor engagement principles. 
  • You’ll have previous experience in event planning and delivery. 
  • You’ll have strong customer service skills both face to face and in person and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
  • You’ll have excellent communication skills and have a keen eye of accuracy in written documents. 
  • You’ll be comfortable learning new technology and processes and have strong computer skills (we use Salesforce).  
  • You’ll be a quick learner, can work autonomously and be self-motivated in your work. 
  • You’ll have full Australian working rights.
