What you will be doing in this role
Hornsby Day Surgery is looking for passionate and experienced Casual Registered Nurses to join our friendly and supportive team. If you have 3+ years of experience in anaesthetics, scrub/scout, and/or recovery, and are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be working alongside a dedicated group of professionals, supporting patients through their surgical journey in a calm, well-equipped, and welcoming environment. Our cases include a variety of day procedures, with a focus on ophthalmic, Plastics and oral surgery.
We operate Monday to Friday, with shifts starting between 7:00 and 8:00 am—giving you a great work-life balance with no weekend or night shifts. At San Day Surgery Hornsby, you’ll feel part of a close-knit team that values respect, collaboration, and excellent patient outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, ready to bring your skills and care to a supportive team.
- You’ll have around 3 years (or more) of experience in anaesthetics, scrub/scout, and/or recovery, and feel confident in a day surgery setting.
- You’ll be passionate about providing warm, patient-focused care and making a real difference in people’s surgical experiences.
- You’ll enjoy working in a friendly, fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and kindness go hand in hand.
- You’ll be a great team player, collaborating closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and fellow nurses to support each other and our patients.
- You’ll take pride in maintaining accurate records and high clinical standards, including infection control.
- You’ll be flexible and dependable, with weekday availability for early starts between 7am and 8am
