What you will be doing in this role
Step into a rewarding role in the Sharpe Ward, our 40-bed specialised Orthopaedic unit dedicated to musculoskeletal care – from hip and knee replacements to ligament repairs and fracture management. Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, you’ll join a team that truly makes a difference in patients’ lives every day.
You’ll work alongside a supportive, multidisciplinary team committed to patient-centred care and excellent clinical outcomes. With mentorship from experienced RNs, guidance from our Clinical Nurse Educator, and hands-on leadership from the Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll be set up to thrive in an environment that values learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
This role is perfect for enthusiastic nurses keen to develop their orthopaedic skills, contribute to high-quality care, and explore leadership opportunities as they grow their career.
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience in acute care; orthopaedic experience highly valued
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with strong emotional intelligence
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working across a rotating roster including day, evening, and night shifts
- Strong time management skills and able to perform confidently under pressure
- Current AHPRA registration and full Australian working rights
- Team player with a commitment to high-quality, safe, and evidence-based care
