What you’ll be doing in this role
Reporting to our friendly and supportive Hotel and Support Services Manager, as a casual Store person, you will primarily be responsible for ordering, receiving, storage of food and non-food products, temperature management and stock control.
As part of this role, you will also work closely with Management, Dietitians, Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Assistants, along with vendors and suppliers to ensure requirements of the position are met appropriately.
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll have the knowledge, skills and previous experience in stock management & inventory, preferably within a commercial kitchen environment
- You’ll have good attention to detail with knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines and healthcare requirements
- You’ll have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) face to face, over the phone and via email.
- You’ll have demonstrated experience with stakeholder relationship and management skills, as you will be dealing with various stakeholders within the hospital along with external vendors and suppliers
- You’ll have basic computer skills to input data
- You’ll be able to work both independently and within a team
