What you will be doing in this role
As a full time, Registered Nurse working in our 30-bed state of the art ICU unit you will be caring for patients that require advanced acute care. ICU is a highly specialised environment, and you will be working in a close-knit team of highly skilled professionals to ensure that every aspect of the patients’ needs are met. You will be supported and encouraged by the NUM, CNS and CNE to advance your skills and continue your learning.
This is a fast-paced unit that sees a wide range of patient cases, it supports a busy Emergency Room, 19 Operating Theatres and Surgical/Medical wards. You will be working a rotating roster of 12-hour shifts (no on call or after hours) and will be supported with 24 hrs medical support. While having experience within an ICU environment would be an advantage, we are happy to provide training and upskill the right person.
Who we’re looking for:
- You’ll have current AHPRA registration as an RN with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience within a critical care setting.
- You’ll have a background in ICU (desirable) but we are open to seeing applications from candidates that have surgical or cardiac experience.
- You’ll have strong time management skills and experience working within a fast-paced environment
- You’ll have demonstrated an elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience in professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
- You’ll be available to work a full-time rotating roster of 12 hour shifts.
- You’ll have full Australian working rights, as we unfortunately do not offer visa sponsorship.
