What you’ll be doing in this role
Our WHS team is a collaborative, empowering and passionate group of health professionals who partner with the hospital to support and drive health and wellbeing programs and best practice solutions for our people.
We're expanding our team and in this new Manual Handling Coordinator role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Managers, Lift Captains, San Education, and other internal stakeholders to implement, monitor and evaluate all activities related to manual handling
- Implementing, developing, and evaluating the AHCL manual handling program and its associated documentation
- Conducting ergonomic and hazardous manual task risk assessments
- Providing manual handling advice, support and coaching to stakeholders
- Conducting and developing training and information sessions
- Developing reports and sharing insights into hazardous manual task events and manual handling program outcomes
- Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement; and
- Actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork.
Who we’re looking for
- You will be a solution focused individual with experience implementing risk management strategies
- An allied health professional (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist)
- An excellent communicator with well-developed problem-solving skills
- An experienced trainer with a Certificate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Proven change management experience
- You’ll be collaborative, adaptable, work well within a team environment, and able to work independently and
- You’ll be empathetic, systematic, detail-oriented, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity.
