What you’ll be doing in this role
Reporting to the Chief Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services appropriate to patient care needs. You will be on the wards, as well as rotating through the busy pharmacy dispensary where you will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional customer service.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
- Registered Pharmacist authorised to practice by AHPRA
- Demonstrated prior experience as a hospital or community pharmacist possessing competence in clinical drug knowledge
- Demonstrated effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Proven capacity to organise a complex workload during periods of high demand and actively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
- Good computer literacy in Pharmacy applications
- Ability to participate in evening, weekend and on-call rosters as required
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
- Public or private hospital pharmacy experience will be highly regarded
Who we’re looking for
- You’ll be a Registered Pharmacist authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- 3+ years of clinical experience in acute healthcare
- You’ll be a motivated and enthusiastic person with a passion for pharmacy and its importance in the healthcare sector
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience considerately & professionally communicating with both internal and external stake holders
- Ability to work both in an unsupervised environment, and within a team setting
