What you will be doing in this role
We’re growing! As demand increases in our Neuro Spinal theatre sessions, we’re looking for passionate and experienced Registered Nurses to join our team as Neuro Scrub/Scout Nurses. Whether you're after full-time or part-time work, this is a great opportunity to become part of a friendly, highly skilled perioperative team that supports 19 operating theatres and is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.
You'll be working in a supportive environment under the guidance of our Nurse Unit Manager – Operating Suite, alongside colleagues who value teamwork and clinical excellence. Who we’re looking for
- A current AHPRA registration is essential, along with 3 - 4 years of experience as a scrub/scout nurse in Neuro/Spinal surgery.
- Experience in Neuro surgeries, particularly craniotomies, spinal fusions, and interventional neuro procedures (Biplane), is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work across a mix of morning and evening shifts - with no night shifts.
- Participation in the on-call roster is part of the role, and your support during these times makes a real difference.
- Being a genuine team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment will see you succeed here.
- Strong critical thinking and initiative will help you respond confidently in complex situations.
- Clear and compassionate communication - both written and verbal - is something you value and demonstrate every day.
