About the role:
Our 12-month Perioperative New Graduate Nurse Program offers a warm and supportive environment to help you transition from student to confident, capable Theatre Registered Nurse — with a dedicated focus on Scrub/Scout nursing.
As a Scrub/Scout nurse, you’ll play a vital role in the operating theatre, learning how to scrub, gown, and glove for surgical procedures, while assisting in the preparation and coordination of care as a key member of the surgical team. You’ll develop the technical skills, clinical knowledge, and teamwork essential for supporting surgeons and maintaining patient safety throughout every procedure.
You’ll be guided by experienced, approachable mentors who are committed to helping you succeed. Throughout the program, you’ll be supported to grow, learn, and thrive in an environment that values compassion, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

To be successful:
- You'll be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nurses and Midwives Registration Board (AHPRA), including meeting English language requirements.
- You'll hold Australian Citizenship or a visa allowing full-time employment in Australia, without regional restrictions.
- You'll be able to commit to a minimum of 32 hours per week on a rotating roster.
- You'll demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- You'll have up-to-date clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- You'll have graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing within 12 months of the program start date.
- You'll be capable of collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team and understand professional, ethical, and legal standards in healthcare.

What to expect
