What you’ll be doing in this role
Over the past five years, the San Integrated Cancer Centre’s patient experience has been rated one of the very best in NSW.


Our Integrated Cancer Centre provides cancer patients with easy centralised access to the range of services they need to deal with the complex disease.

 

We are currently looking for a full-time clerk who’s key responsibilities will include:  

  • Health fund eligibility checks
  • Creating patient estimates for booked procedures
  • Explaining informed financial consent to patients
  • Facilitating patient admissions across several areas of the hospital (emergency, surgical, day procedures)
  • Contribute to department innovation and professional development
  • Wholeheartedly contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement
  • Actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork 

 

Who we’re looking for

  • Outstanding customer service skills to meet & exceed patient and client expectations
  • Your friendly, can-do and positive attitude when working with others with the desire to go ‘above and beyond’ when interacting with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
  • The ability to be collaborative, adaptable, work well within a team environment, along with being able to work independently
  • Be empathetic, systematic, detail-oriented, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity
  • You'll demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal skills
  • High standard of attention to detail with diligent and accurate of data entry
  • The willingness to work a variety of shifts across 7 days of the week with willingness for night shifts on a rotational basis
