The Rehabilitation Unit at the Sydney Adventist Hospital (the San) provides an exciting opportunity to work in a new unit with first-class facilities and a great team of medical, nursing and allied health staff.

The San is a tertiary referral hospital and is the largest private, not-for-profit hospital in NSW, working closely with public hospitals, including Hornsby, Westmead and Royal North Shore hospitals. The hospital has recently been extensively redeveloped, and now is a facility with 550 beds and 24 operating theatres.

The San Rehabilitation Service is co-located with the acute hospital with 47 beds providing inpatient rehabilitation in addition to its Day Only Rehabilitation program. There is no on-call for weekend or after-hours. Part-time or job-share arrangement can be considered upon application, including school hours.



  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Eligible for registration with AHPRA
  • Completed at least 2 years post graduate training
  • International Medical Graduates who have passed AMC Part 1 (MCQs) are eligible to apply
  • Demonstrated interest in rehabilitation medicine
  • Demonstrated competency in clinical skills including effective assessment, care planning, care provision, case management and management of clinical emergencies
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment


  • Clinical experience in rehabilitation, care of persons with aged related conditions, and treatment of chronic and complex health problems.
