Purpose of collecting your personal information

AHCL collects and processes your personal information to confirm your identity, screen, consider and track your application for employment, communicate the outcome and, if you are successful, to commence your onboarding. You agree AHCL may collect, use and disclose your information for these purposes. If you withdraw your consent or you do not provide us with all the personal information we request, it may delay, or may not be possible for AHCL to consider, your application and your application may be rejected.

Types of personal information AHCL collects and processes

AHCL collects your personal information from the application form you submit, any supporting documents provided during the recruitment process, and anything recorded during the interview process. This includes sensitive information you provide to us such as information about your membership of a professional body, your health, race or ethnicity. We may also collect personal information from third parties, including nominated referees (or their associated organisation) or our criminal records check provider, to consider your application.

Disclosures of your personal information

AHCL uses PageUp’s platform for its e-recruitment activities. PageUp is an Australian based company. AHCL may need to disclose your personal information to entities or individuals based overseas if you provide an overseas referee or if an international criminal records check is required. You expressly consent to these disclosures understanding that:

Use and retention of your personal information after the recruitment process

If you are successful, your personal information will be used for the onboarding process for employment and will become part of your ongoing employee record that is held by AHCL. If your application is unsuccessful, AHCL will maintain your application records to contact you in the event we consider you may be suitable for another role in the future. If you wish your records to be removed from our database, please contact the AHCL Privacy Officer at privacy@sah.org.au.
